The education of a nurse who did a diploma 20 years ago is different from the education given today. This is because today people are taught more advances skills; in addition, due to the increasing number of new diseases, nurses today intensively trained compared to those trained 20 years ago (Whitehead et al. , 2010). During the Florence Nightingale era, she laid a base for professional nursing whose principles were summarized in the Notes on Nursing.
It was evident that professional nursing was not fully practised during her time (Whitehead et al. , 2010). How would you compare nursing leadership during your time and today?
