"Quality Geriatric Nursing Care" is a brilliant example of a paper on care. The nursing profession is indeed critical concerning the various attributes associated with it. Ideally, nursing is more of a calling than just a profession as it involves caring for individuals with varied challenges, therefore, requires that an individual in the practice of the same, have an inner motivation towards giving the best care. In geriatric nursing, which involves the care for older people, the calling aspect is significantly manifested. Indeed, caring for aging adults can be of the greatest challenge to many considering the needs and demands of such a group of people.
Despite such challenges, nursing as a profession still requires that nurses give their best in terms of services in an urge to improve the quality of service in the health care industry (Barba, Hu, and Efird, 2012). The fundamental question, therefore, is, what role does the working environment play in improving the quality of service delivery in Geriatric nursing care? Evidently, research studies have shown clearly that for nurses to work most efficiently there must be appropriate motivational drive in addition to a welcoming environment in order to provide the best services and hence improve quality.
Additionally, understanding of nurses’ satisfaction in a particular work environment in balance with the quality of health care service they provide is an aspect of significant importance in the study of nursing and its practices (Barba, Hu, and Efird, 2012). A majority of adults usually have numerous complex needs associated with more complications that require individualized care for effective treatment procedures. As such, nurses need to provide their best services in order to meet such needs. Conclusion Considering the fact, that indeed providing individualized care for a diverse adult population is very complex and challenging; nurses need a serene environment that promotes their approach to service delivery and improved quality, which includes the promotion of independence and autonomy of work (Barba, Hu, and Efird, 2012). A serene work environment entails a number of aspects that ensure effective work practices for nurses and quality service.
Studies have shown that appropriate adult care involves following certain guidelines as most of the common problems with the adults are similar, and, therefore, requires a particular approach to treatment.
Additionally, the availability of resources and manifest administrative support in service delivery has had significant contributions towards enhancing the serenity of the work environment. As such, majorities of nurses working in such environments are more satisfied with their jobs and, therefore, provide the best care to adult patients (Barba, Hu, and Efird, 2012). Conclusion With the advanced age of adult nursing care centers, it is substantively evident that quality of care diminishes considering that the older an individual gets, the more complicated the life gets, and, therefore, the more difficult providing individualized care because of the diverse population needs (Barba, Hu, and Efird, 2012). Ideally, from the numerous studies and research-based evidence, it is evident that the provision of quality nursing geriatric care involves the practice of individualized patient care as well as the promotion of independence and autonomy for nurses’ work appropriately towards the enhancement of quality service delivery in adult hospitals and care centers.
However, nurses in most facilities face more challenges towards the high-quality service delivery because of the diverse nature of the individuals they work with as well as the poor work environment. Conclusion In conclusion, it is, therefore; evident that the provision of a serene work environment for nurses works most effectively towards enhancing the quality of service delivery in adult care.
