"The Role of Physical Exercises in Promoting Good Health" is a delightful example of a paper on fitness and exercise. It is a general assumption that physical exercises are important factors in developing good health. In an argument by Lusk et. al (2010) physical exercises have been prescribed as a source of good health and general well-being. The author further points out that the need for physical exercise is developed to increase the suitability of a person to cope with the probability of having health complications (Lusk et. al, 2010). For instance, older adults who take part in physical exercise may live longer than their counterparts who do not take part in physical exercises. One major health complication that may be caused by a lack of physical exercise is premature death.
Powell (2007) is of the assumption that the human body is highly dependent on its activity ability. The author further asserts that the prevalence of a person to take part in physical activity determined their ability to self-protection. Premature death can also be caused by illnesses that could be easily avoided through physical exercise.
For instance, type 2 diabetes can be avoided through physical exercise. Consequently, Lusk et. al (2010) asserts that persons with type 2 diabetes have a high probability of succumbing to premature death. Another health risk for the lack of physical exercise is the occurrence of risk factor diseases such as high blood pressure and cholesterol. The diseases are caused by the inability of the body to increase its metabolism process (Mekary et. al, 2010). Through physical activity and exercise, the heart rate is increased thus improving the flow of blood in the body.
This minimizes the risk of acquiring high blood pressure and cholesterol. Obesity is also less prone to people with a tendency to take part in the exercise. The problem is prompted by a lack of exercise that may improve the physical fitness of a person. Powell (2007) points out that; physically fit persons have a 90% less probability to suffer from obesity. As a nurse, I would advise my clients on the importance of physical exercise. I would develop occasional medical checkups that would determine their medical status when they take part in physical exercises.
This may improve their perception of embracing physical activities and exercises. In addition, I would develop interventions that would require exercises from my clients. This may include the development of physical activity schedules for individuals of families. For medical purposes, I would seek help from a certified medical trainer (Powell, 2007). However, to improve the participation of the clients, physical activities frameworks exercises should be done at their comfort. For instance, a person’ s hobby could be turned into physical activity. If my client likes cycling, I will consider the activity as the best way to conduct the physical exercise.
In addition, interesting activities such as swimming and yoga may improve the participation of the clients. From a social perspective, group exercises increase the will of a person to take part in exercises and physical activities (Mekary et. al, 2010). For instance, an occasional football game may improve the suitability and comfort of the client to do physical exercises.
