The mandate should prevent deaths at an early age, ensure a good life for people with conditions such as cancer, ensure that everyone has access to the best medical care, assist them to recover from short-term health problems like depression and injuries, and ensuring that the health environment is harmless.
The mandate should also devise an incredible plan to reduce the number of children and teenagers who are overweight or obese as it is a serious emerging area of concern. Stakeholders are an important component in the whole policy-making process to ensure that the best is set out by all relevant members involved.
The stakeholders who can be involved include the government, representatives from the health department, medical professionals, pharmaceutical suppliers and manufacturers, law advocacy organizations, and a representation of the members of the public who are beneficiaries of the health policies (Robert, 1987). These stakeholders have great roles to play in the whole policy-making process and at different stages of the system. The government acts as the board during policy-making hence making the policy-making process comprehensive. The cooperation of the health sector with the government will make it become aware of the challenges faced by its citizens.
The government can talk on behalf of the health sector especially if the projects require resources like finances. They may have an influence on the people the system wants to get into a deal with. It can be involved in the implementation of the policies after all decisions have been made. This is when it has to chip in and get into a memorandum so that this sector can be improved. Health is a national issue that the government must be familiar with its progress therefore it should be engaged in this (Peter, 2004). Lawmakers ensure that the policy does not breach the contract and agreement as is stated. They guide the whole process so that it is legal without hitches in its implementation.
They also make the whole process transparent so that biased decisions are not made. Trust built with the law sector makes the whole policy-making simplified as they are the actual policymakers (Stone, 2008). Representatives from the health sector, medical professionals, and pharmaceutical suppliers know the challenges faced. They are also familiar with this sector and can help in formulating the best decisions. They are aware of the reforms that are existent, functional, nonfunctional, and those that have to be replaced. In all scenarios, they are familiar with problems faced in some counties nationally as they deliver their services to the citizens.

If correctly interpreted and used, this theory presents the best ways to carry out the policy and achievement of the set objectives to improve health care systems. The problem should be well identified and thought out, decide on the applicable solutions to the problem, write down other alternatives in case plan A fails, evaluate the possible outcomes, and choose the best alternative that will ensure achievement of the goal and solve the problem. The policymakers and stakeholders should not be biased nor have personal interests in the making of decisions. The national health policy should be a nationwide thing that will benefit the nation, just as is provided by the rational choice theory.
No one should seem to be influential over certain matters as they are all there to make the best decisions. These issues are easily tackled in their initial stages of development and can be stopped early enough. It is important to follow the correct steps and procedures in formulating the policy. The relevant stakeholders can be involved to act as a board and help in decision-making. The policy can then be implemented. The reforms sector also has to be addressed so that the recurrent issues relating to medical practitioners are reduced. The policy should be analyzed well by a group of experts and even tabled in the United Kingdom’ s parliament.
Within the set time period for completion of the policies, its consequences should have been known and analyzed. For sure, the health problem menace has to be put to an end early enough.
