"Promoting Professional Nursing Accountability" is a great example of a paper on the health system. The information acquired by the health care personnel during their education rapidly becomes obsolete. It is necessary for managers to remedy this challenge through the introduction of changes in health care delivery. This is to maintain and improve the quality of care regardless of the reduced budgets. Changes stimulate and excite persons involved directly and become a threat to those not involved (Harrington & Smith, 2008). All the stakeholders including the staff, administration, patients, and physicians are equally important in the change process.
This is because a change broadly supported by all the clinical stakeholders is less likely to attract back the old ways of operations. Professional medical practitioners conduct a peer review of the activities of the clinical staff with the objective of delivering an unbiased report on the quality of care (Harrington & Smith, 2008). The stakeholders are involved in the change process through seminars, educational materials, conferences, advisory committees, and hospital rounds. These are useful in alerting them about the changes that are taking place and assist in the determination of strategies to contemplate change.
The educational materials such as newsletters, electronic materials, and professional journals alert the health care personnel concerning new developments in their respective fields. Conferences, meetings, workshops, and hospital rounds are useful in notifying personnel on the occurrence of clinical changes incorporated into their individual practices (Harrington & Smith, 2008). Outreach visits are also effective means of stakeholder involvement in the clinical change process. These visits are effective in changing the approach undertaken by the health care personnel in dealing with a particular clinical problem or patient.
In conducting these visits, an individual spends time tailoring the provided information that meets the needs of the health care personnel. This information might include feedback on the performance of the personnel. These visits are important in the improvement of practice management and preventive services in medical care (Harrington & Smith, 2008). The clinical change process requires stakeholder involvement in every stage of the process. This is to ensure they are well informed and have an opportunity to take part in the process.
